- 4 August 2017 - The Red Sox best the White Sox 3-2 in 11 innings thanks to a walk-off home run from Mitch Moreland over the Green Monster at Fenway Park. The win gives John Farrell 400 in his Boston managerial career and comes on his 55th birthday.
- 15 August 2017 - The Red Sox execute their first triple play in six years as Boston beats St. Louis 10-4 at Fenway Park. In the top of the fourth, after back-to-back singles by Cardinals batters, Yadier Molina grounds a ball to third baseman Rafael Devers, who steps on the bag, throws to Eduardo Nunez at second, who then relays the ball to Mitch Moreland at first for a 5-4-3 triple play.
- 27 October 2018 - Down 4-0, the Red Sox rally to score nine runs over the final three innings and take a 3-1 lead in the World Series with a 9-6 win over the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. Mitch Moreland hits a three-run, pinch home run, while Steve Pearce collects four RBI with a solo home run and a three-run double in the ninth.
